一 Testing Requirements

1 Chemical characteristics: same as in EN 13432
2 Biodegradation in the marine environment: 90% within maximum 6 months,
3 Disintegration in the marine environment: 90% within 12 weeks
4 Daphnia toxicity test: less than 90% of the tested organisms should be affected
二Product application scope

Certification is only possible for materials, not for final products (to avoid people throwing things deliberately in the ocean). Examples for which this certificate makes sense: fishing nets and lines, lobster cages, aquacultural aids, etc.
